Chamberlain Hardware is a family run Hardware store, founded in 1903, now in its 4th Generation. We were appointed to design their 8th store in Strubens Valley store after successfully being involved with their previous three. Chamberlain traditionally a ‘trade’ hardware supplier, entered the DIY market in 2005, and as a family run business has built their differentiation on solution focused customer service and relationships.

The design of the store is intended to maintain the heritage as a supplier to the small construction trade, whilst offering an easy to navigate, informative DIY retail environment. Each major category is anchored with a service counter, which is easy accessible and has a clear line of sight of the trading floor. The high level internal façade is wrapped with a timeline info graphic reinforcing the heritage of the brand in the hardware trade.
