Rangoli Dinarobin Beachcomber - Hospitality

Nestled within the luxurious Dinarobin Beachcomber resort on the southwestern coast of Mauritius, with the iconic Le Morne Brabant mountainas its backdrop, Rangoli offers guests an immersive dining experience inspired by the rich traditions, flavours, and artistry of India.

Created as the resort's new signature Indian restaurant,Rangoli was designed to be far more than a dining destination. It is a place of discovery, connection, and storytelling. Here every detail contributes to a memorable sensory journey.

The design concept draws inspiration from the Mandala, an intricate geometric symbol representing wholeness, harmony, and the interconnectedness of life. The symmetry, layered detailing, and rich colour palette of the Mandala became the foundation of both the interior design and brand identity, creating a space that feels authentic, immersive, and full of wonder.

Throughout the restaurant, bespoke furniture with soft curves and luxurious fabrics creates an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. An intricate floor pattern anchors the space, while a delicate sculptural ceiling installation of fabric and metallic elements appears to float above the dining area, adding movement, texture, and visual drama.

Designed around a series of carefully considered guest experiences, Rangoli celebrates six core values: comfort, pleasure, senses, sharing, discovery, and hospitality. These principles guided every aspect ofthe design, from the welcoming arrival experience and handcrafted details to the warm lighting, rich materiality, and thoughtfully curated décor.

Lush planting and floral arrangements introduce an exotic character, while traditional influences are balanced with contemporary sophistication. Guests are welcomed by staff dressed in beautifully crafted Indian attire before settling into an intimate 50-seat restaurant where conversations, celebrations, and memorable moments naturally unfold.

Dining at Rangoli is a multi-sensory experience. Aromas, textures, colours, sounds, and flavours work together to transport guests through India's diverse cultural landscape, while the restaurant's contemporary design interpretation ensures the experience feels both timeless and relevant.
