The driving ambition behind the new store format developed for Tile Africa was to shift from a showroom environment to a retail environment in which curated displays enable the customer to make inspired style decisions and informed product selections.
The layout and merchandise principles took learnings from apparel retail, showcasing curated solutions, with out-posted shopable product on hand, i.e. SHOP THE LOOK, which was a great departure from the traditional category led showroom housing a sea of product categorised by application only. This new approach was applied throughout the store design, from headquartering right down to the point of sale and ticketing – making it easy and inspiring for the customer to browse and select products for their home.
